Cambridge has plenty of brilliant minds with half-baked ideas, but no real spot for aspiring entrepreneurs to connect, brainstorm, and kickstart their ventures—whether startups or social projects. Without that, talented people curious about stepping out of academia into industry or policy can feel pushed away. We’re here to change that. The Cambridge Global Innovation Hub is a space for students to shape their ideas and meet others who get it. Through panels, symposiums, hackathons, fireside chats, and casual socials, we help you refine your thoughts and link up with peers before hitting accelerators or competitions. We team up with other societies for some events and focus on health, tech, and education innovation. Down the line, we’re building a global alumni network to launch a mentorship program connecting current members with innovators who’ve been there.
We plan at least one retreat a year, taking members to visit a successful innovator—either an alumnus or a collaborator—somewhere in the world. It’s a chance to see real impact up close, spark inspiration, and bond as a group. Nothing fancy, just a practical way to learn from those who’ve made it work.
Every May or June, we host a formal dinner to bring together current members and alumni. It’s a night to connect, share ideas, and celebrate what we’re building. We’ll rotate between a Cambridge college dining hall or the Oxford and Cambridge Club in London—good food, good company, and no stuffiness.
